About

Our approach is grounded in cognitive science

We help organisations structure information, messages, and systems in ways that people can understand, remember, and use effectively, because they align with how the mind works.

Memory, attention, decision-making, and learning processes that are measurable, reliable, and human. We work on manuals, training flows, chatbot scripts, public campaigns, and complex content systems. Each is designed with clarity in mind and with the goal of making information functional and accessible. When complexity is part of the challenge, whether in content, communication, or behaviour, we help make it clear, usable, and cognitively aligned.

Our mission

To turn complex information into clear, structured content that supports understanding and memory and ignites action. We apply cognitive science to help organisations communicate more effectively, not by simplifying, but by aligning with how people think.

and our vision

We envision a world where information is structured to match the way the human mind works. It is designed to be understood, not just delivered. A world where instructions are easy to follow, AI systems are transparent and trustworthy, and public messages don’t just reach people, they make sense and lead to action. A world where clarity is the default, not the exception.

Why us?

Because Cognitive Content Design matters
When content fails, it’s rarely because the facts are wrong. It’s because the structure is. People don’t just need information — they need to follow it, remember it, and act on it. That’s what cognitive content design ensures.

At CO₃LΛB, we draw on psychology, learning sciences, and human–computer interaction principles to build content that works with the mind, not against it. From manuals that guide, to campaigns that change behaviour, to AI systems people trust — we make sure clarity comes first.

Founder info

Hi, I’m Andreas, the founder of CO₃. I blend cognitive science, psychology and design to help teams transform complicated information into content, systems and experiences that people can really grasp and use.

I’ve got a background in applied psychology, cognitive systems, education, creative direction and communication strategy. I’ve been leading projects in learning platforms, public messaging, brand communication and behavioural campaigns, and recently, I’ve been focusing on human-centred design for AI systems, always keeping in mind how people think, learn and make decisions.

I’m here to support organisations that need to inform, guide or teach clearly, especially when the subject matter is technical, high-stakes or aimed at changing behaviour. My job is to bring structure, evidence and creative coherence to complexity so teams can build on a strong cognitive foundation.

If you’re working on something complex and need a partner who brings both cognitive depth and creative direction, I’d love to talk with you.

Q&A

Why CO₃LAB?

We’re often asked where we fit in. Are we strategists, content designers, consultants? The truth is, we work in the space between idea and execution, where clarity is often assumed but rarely guaranteed.

We support organisations and teams before design begins, before messages are styled, scripted, or pushed live.

Our focus is on how information is structured, how it is understood, and how it supports behaviour and action.

We work alongside agencies, designers, developers, and communication teams.

Our role is to make sure the message beneath their work is clear, well-ordered, and ready to perform.

In short, we bring cognitive depth to projects that need to make sense and lead to action. From the inside out.

Yes

but still, why hire you?

Isn’t the whole thing just strategy with a new name?

Strategy decides what to say and where. We focus on how it is understood, remembered, and acted on. That is a different layer, and it prevents good ideas from failing at the point of use.

No. We work alongside them. We define the information architecture, message logic, and behavioural pathway so their work starts on solid ground and moves faster.

We value aesthetics. Beauty is a cognitive shortcut. It earns attention, builds trust, and helps processing. We make sure form and function reinforce each other.

Our work sits early and runs in parallel. It removes rework, reduces rounds, and prevents expensive fixes after launch. Most teams find it saves time overall.

We measure success by reduced friction, fewer support calls, clearer task completion, and better engagement. The main return is avoiding failed launches and backfires.

We design the human layer. That means plain‑language explanations, safe defaults, and conversation flows that match real questions. The goal is understanding and trust.
